Saint José Melchór García-Sampedro Suárez Biography
Saint José Melchór García-Sampedro Suárez, he studied theology at the University of Oviedo. Dominican priest, consecrated on May 29, 1847 in the monastery of Ocana. Missionary to Vietnam from 1849. Co-adjutant of the Vicar of Central Tonkin (in present-day Vietnam) on April 15, 1853. Detained, tortured, and finally executed as one of Vietnam's martyrs.
