Saint Marolus of Milan was born near Babylon, in the lands first marked by the blood of martyrs. To escape the persecution of Sapor II, he moved to Rome, Italy where he became a good friend of Pope Innocent I (401-417). St Marolus was ordained bishop of Milan in 408. All loved him for working with the victims of the Visigoth invasions and for speaking the truth.
He died on April 23 423 of natural causes and buried in the Church of Saint Nazarius and Celsus in Milan, Italy.
