St. Martin of Vienne Biography
Saint Martin of Vienne, was first sent by Pope Saint Alexander I as a missionary to Vienne in France. He also served as the third bishop of Vienne. St. Martin is venerated as a saint in the Roman Catholic Church as well as the Orthodox Church. His feast day is celebrated locally in Vienne on July 1.
There is a district, as well as a bridge in the old town of Vienne, named after him. Also the town of Saint-Martin-l’Ars, in the department of Vienne.
