Saint’s Biography
Pope Gregory the Great sent Saint Mellitus to England together with Giusto, Paolino, and Rufiniano in 601. For three years he worked in Kent and ordained bishop of London, England in 604.
Mellitus was sent to exile for refusing to give Communion to apostates. He was called to serve as Archbishop of Canterbury, England in 619.
