Saint Nicolaas Poppel, a priest of the ward of Utrecht, Netherlands. Martyred by Calvinists for “papism” and his confidence in the Real Presence in the Eucharist. One of the Martyrs of Gorkum. One of nineteen saints slaughtered by Calvinists for dependability to the Pope and for their confidence in the Real Presence in the Eucharist.
