Saint Bassianus of Lodi Short life History
Bassian of Lodi also known as Bassiano, Bassianus. He was the son of Servius, prefect of Syracuse, Sicily. He was a student in Rome, Italy.
When he Converted to Christianity, his family opposed the conversion, and when Bassian was ordered back to Syracuse, he fled to Ravenna, Italy.
He became Bishop of Lodi, Italy in 373 AD. He attended the Council of Aquileia in 381. He was a friend of Saint Felix of Como and of Saint Ambrose of Milan; Bassian was at the deathbed of Saint Ambrose.

Saint Bassianus of Lodi died in 413 in Lodi, Italy of natural causes. Following a military defeat of Lodi by Milan in 1158, Bassian’s relics were taken to Milan but later returned to Lodi in 1163
