Saint’s Biography
Ruadhain was born in the early 500s in the province of Leinster in eastern Ireland. He was the son of Fergus mac Echdach the royal family in Munster. He received his education from the saint Finn of Clonard (d. 549) in his Clonard monastery and was one of the most important students of the Finn. He was one of The Twelve Apostles of Ireland.
