Biography
St Sigfrid of Sweden served as a priest at York and Glastonbury in England. He also became a monk and evangelized in Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. Sigfrid brought king Olaf of Sweden to the Christian faith.
However, his nephews; Saint WInaman, Saint Unaman, and Saint Sunaman were beheaded by pagan raiders while he was away as they were assisting with the work in Sweden.
He returned and claimed their heads stating that they could speak. King Olaf decided to execute the pagan terrorists but Sigfrid was against capital punishment and made them set free. The king ordered that they get highly fined a move that Sigfrid refused. This built his reputation as a mission worker.
