Saint’s Biography

Saint Valéry was born around 560 AD in France from a poor family. He worked at his father’s farm but wanted more in life. Walaric pleaded with a teacher at school for wealthy children to teach him the letters. He entered the monastery of Luxeuil in 594, where he was a disciple of Saint Columbanus.

St. Valéry of Leucone Work

Saint Valéry established the monastery of Leuconay in France. Saint-Valery-sur-Somme town named after him.

St. Valéry of Leucone Death

He died on December 12 of a year between 619 and 622 in Leuconay.
