St. Veridiana Biography
Saint Verdiana was born of a noble family somehow impoverished but still prestigious at Castel Fiorentino, Tuscany. She was noted to be generous and charitable from an early age. She made a spiritual journey to Santiago de Compostela. On return, she had a desire for solitude and penance. she had herself cornered as an anchorite in a little cell adjacent to the oratory of San Antonio.
