St. Vitonus of Verdun Biography
St. Vitonus of Verdun was a monk from a young age. He later became the Bishop of Verdun, France in 500 AD. Vitonus converted all the residents of his diocese eliminating paganism in the area. He established a college for priests and was a renown miracle worker. A Benedictine abbey in Lorraine, France was named after him.
