Biography
Saint Vladimir I of Kiev, grandson of St. Olga of Kiev. Child of the agnostic Norman-Rus ruler Svyatoslav of Kiev and his partner Malushka. Terrific ruler of Kiev. Sovereign of Novgorod in 970. On the demise of his dad in 972, he fled to Scandinavia, enrolled help from an uncle, and defeated Yaropolk, another child of Svyatoslav, who had endeavored to hold onto Novgorod and Kiev.
