Saint Waltrude of Mons Biography
Saint Waltrude of Mons was born in Belgium in the seventh century. Her mother, father and sister, all were declared to be saint too. Waltrude grew up to be a pretty teenage girl and Some young men want to marry her. King Chlotar II her father chose husband for Waltrude. She Married Saint Vincent Madelgaire, count of Hainault, a lord in King Dagobert’s court.
Waltrude had two daughters and two sons. Amazing, all of them have also been declared saints. St. Waltrude was happy because God gave her an extraordinary family. She encouraged her husband to become a monk, and he is known as Saint Vincent Madelgaire. Two years later after her husband becoming Mon St. Waltrude decided to become a nun.
WORK
St. Waltrude established a religious community in Mons, Belgium,but stayed as a member to avoid slander from the secular world(people thinking St. Waltrude is praying and doing good deeds is only a way to cover up his terrible secret sins).
DEATH
Valdetrudis died of natural causes on April 9 686
