Saint’s Biography
Saint Wiltrudis of Bergen was the wife of Duke Berthold of Bavaria and widowed at 947 AD hence becoming a Benedictine nun. In 976 AD, she founded the convent of Bergen, near Neuburg, Germany, on the Danube. Wiltrudis had mastered the skill in the handcrafts. She died in 986 AD of natural causes.
