Saint Aigulf of Bourges, also known as Aigulphus, Ayoul, Aieul, Aout, or Hou, was the pious bishop of Bourges, France. He was born in the 8th century AD in Bourges, France and died 836 AD. We celebrate his feast day on May 22 every year in the Catholic Church.

St Aigulf of Bourges Biography
St Aigulf of Bourges was well educated but became a hermit when his parents died. He became very pious and people came to like him a lot.
He reluctantly became the bishop of Bourges, France in 811 AD. In 829 AD, he attended the Council of Toulouse and also sat in judgment of Archbishop Ebbo of Rheims who had joined a revolt against King Louis the Debonair.
