Saint’s Biography

Saint Catald of Taranto was a student at the monastic school of Lismore, Waterford under Saint Carthage. Later he became a teacher there and later the headteacher. For his holiness, Catald was chosen as a bishop of Taranto. Catald lived the rest of his life teaching and caring for his parishioners. There are cities in Sicily and southern Italy named for him.
