St Corona the Martyr was a teenage wife of St Victor the Martyr, a Roman soldier. She was born in the 2nd century in Damascus, Syria and died as a martyr in 165 AD together with her husband. We celebrate her feast day on May 14 every year in the Catholic Church.

Saint’s Biography
Saint Corona was the wife of an Imperial Roman soldier stationed in Damascus, Syria. Corona took care of Saint Victor the Martyr when he was arrested for his Christian faith.
His fellow soldiers brought Victor to face judgment before Sebastian, who ordered that he be whipped until he denied his faith.
St Corona came to the aid of her husband and publicly declared her faith as a Christian and went ahead to help her injured husband.
She was arrested, tortured and killed in 165 AD. Her relics were transferred to Aachen, Germany 1000 AD by Emperor Otto III.
