Saint’s Biography
Saint Duje was the bishop of Salona, Dalmatia in the third century in Croatia. He was massacred with seven other Christians during emperor in Diocletian’s rule. Duje was beheaded in 304 at Salona, Dalmatia (in modern Croatia). He was secretly buried by other Christians. A basilica was built over this grave and a monastery grew up nearby and his relics later moved to the cathedral of bearby Split, Croatia.
