Biography
Saint Limnaeus was a fifth-century hermit near Cyrrhus in Syria. He was a spiritual student of St. Maro and lived in a small stone hut at the hilltop. He talked to ‘his students’ through a small hole and when they frequented he built a house at the hill for them to stay.
He was known to be a healer and built two houses for the blind and influenced each of his students to care for the poor and lame.
