St. Moses the Hermit Biography
Saint Moses was a hermit in the region between Syria and Egypt. He preached in the nomadic tribes in Syro-Arabian desert. The queen of the land agreed that Moses be named their Bishop. He negotiated a lasting peace resolution between the nomads and the Roman empire.
On agreeing to be the Bishop, a controversy emerged because he refused to deal with the archbishop of Alexandria who was supporting Arianism.
Later he was consecrated by an Orthodox Bishop. He then spent the rest of his life preaching to the nomads.
