Blessed Gregory of Cahors also Gregorio da Cahors was born in France. He was a Mercedarian and master of Sacred Theology.
In 1462 AD, he was assigned to ransom Christians enslaved by Muslims in Africa and brought 184 of them home.
He Retired to live as a monk at the convent of Santa Maria in Toulouse, France where he devoted himself to prayer and contemplation.
Blessed Otto of Heidelberg
Blessed Otto of Heidelberg was the brother of Blessed Herman of Heidelberg. He was a benedictine monk and priest at the monastery of Niederaltaich, Bavaria in modern Germany.
After his brother’s death, Otto exercised his vocation from Herman’s old cell. He died in 1344 AD.
Saint Caesarius of Armenia
Saint Caesarius of Armenia led a dissolute and sinful life for years. He became the father of the Arian heretic Eudoxius.
In the end, however, Caesarius became a serious Christian and stayed with the orthodox faith. He was burned to death at the stake in 309 AD at Arabissus, Armenia under Galerius Maximian. He died as a martyr.
Saint Iolande of Rome
Saint Iolande of Rome was less than 20 years old when she was arrested for aiding Christian prisoners during the persecutions of Marcus Aurelius.
The judge offered her clemency in return for sexual favours and she declined.
Consequently, she was beaten, thrown to wild animals and executed for her faith.
She was beheaded in 169 AD in Rome, Italy, and died as a Martyr.
Saint Gowan of Wales
Saint Gowan of Wales also known as Cofen, Govan, or Goven was born in the 5th century in Wales.
She was a queen who was the wife of King Tewdrig of Glamorgan, an area of modern Wales.
The parish of Llangoven, Monmouthshire, and a chapel in Pembrokeshire are named for her.
Saint Theonas of Alexandria
Saint Theonas of Alexandria also known as Teona or Theon was a teacher at Origen’s School of Theology in Alexandria, Egypt.
He was also a Priest and became bishop of Alexandria in 282 AD. He died on December 28 300 AD of natural causes
Saint Troadius of Pontus
Saint Troadius of Pontus was a young man born to the nobility who publicly proclaimed his Christianity.
He was crucified in Neo-Caesarea, Pontus in modern Turkey in the persecution of Decius. He died as a martyr.
Saint Domnio of Rome
Saint Domnio of Rome was a fourth-century priest in Rome, Italy. He collected old texts which were used by Saint Jerome.
Saint Jerome and Saint Augustine both wrote glowingly of Domnio and his ministry in Rome.
Blessed Nicholas Mello
Blessed Nicholas Mello was an Augustinian canon. He evangelized along the eastern shore of the Caspian sea in the 17th century AD.
He was martyred for loyalty to the Vatican at Astrakhan, Russia.
Saint Conindrus
Saint Conindrus was converted by Saint Patrick. He was ordained as a priest and bishop by Patrick.
Patrick sent him to evangelize the Isle of Man. He died in 450 AD of natural causes.
Saint Simon the Myroblite
Saint Simon the Myroblite was a thirteenth-century monk and founder of the Simonos-Petras monastery on Mount Athos during the time of the Crusades.

Saint Romulus was converted by Saint Patrick. He was ordained as priest and bishop by Patrick.
Patrick sent him to evangelize the Isle of Man In 450 AD, he died of natural causes.

20,000 Martyrs of Nicomedia
The 20,000 Martyrs of Nicomedia were a group of Christians who were murdered in 303 AD in Nicomedia, Bithynia (modern Izmit, Turkey) during the persecutions of Diocletian.
Many of them were killed en masse when they were ordered, during Christmas Mass, to sacrifice to idols; when they refused, they were locked in the churches and the buildings burned around them.
