Saint Patricia of Nicomedia

St. Patricia of Nicomedia, also called Patricia of Nicomedia, was a married woman and the mother of St. Modesta of Nicomedia.

Along with her husband St. Macedonius and several other Christians, whose names are not known, she was martyred in 304 AD in Nicomedia (modern-day Turkey).

Saint Grace of Saragossa

St. Grace of Saragossa, an unwed laywoman, was detained, tortured, and killed for her religious beliefs during Diocletian’s persecutions.

She was subjected to severe beatings that resulted in internal injuries and had her breasts removed before being sent back to her prison cell to perish from her wounds. This occurred in 304 AD in Zaragoza, Spain.

Saint Ramirus of LĂ©on

St. Ramirus of LĂ©on served as a monk and later as the prior of St. Claudius Abbey in LĂ©on, Spain. Along with his fellow monks, he was martyred by Arian Visigoths.

St. Ramirus was assassinated in 600 AD while reciting the Nicene Creed in the church choir of St. Claudius Abbey in LĂ©on, Spain.

Saint Macedonius of Nicomedia

St. Macedonius of Nicomedia was wedded to St. Patricia of Nicomedia, and they had a daughter, St. Modesta of Nicomedia.

Together with several other unidentified Christians, the entire family was martyred, and they perished in 304 AD in Nicomedia, which is now located in Turkey.

Blessed Eustachius of Huy

Blessed Eustachius of Huy, the eldest son of Blessed Ivetta of Huy, was born in Huy, Belgium, during the latter part of the 12th century.

He converted to Christianity under his mother’s guidance and became a Cistercian monk at the Orval monastery, located in modern-day Belgium. Eventually, he was appointed as the abbot of the monastery.

Saint Modesta of Nicomedia

St. Modesta of Nicomedia was the daughter of St. Patricia of Nicomedia and St. Macedonius of Nicomedia.

Along with several other Christians whose identities are unknown, the entire family was martyred, and St. Modesta died in 304 AD in Nicomedia, which is presently situated in Turkey.

Saint Urpasian of Nicomedia

St. Urpasian of Nicomedia was a Christian member of the imperial household of Roman emperor Diocletian in Nicomedia (in modern Turkey).

He was martyred for his faith. In 295 AD he was burned alive in Nicomedia (in modern Turkey).

Saint Theusitas of Nicaea

St. Theusitas of Nicaea was also known as Theusetas. He was the father of St. Horres of Nicaea and was martyred with his son and several other Christians.

St. Horres of Nicaea was also known as Ilorres. He was the son of St. Theusitas of Nicaea and was martyred with his father and several others.

St. Pientius of Poitiers was also known as Pien, Pient, or Pienzio. He was a bishop of Poitiers, France. He helped St. Radegunde to found her convent. In 561 AD, he died of natural causes.

St. Christina of Persia was born in Persia and was also known as Kristina. She was martyred in the persecutions of Khosrau I of Persia after being scourged to death.

Saint Eufrasia of Nicomedia

St. Eufrasia of Nicomedia was martyred in the persecutions of Diocletian. He was beheaded in 300 AD in Nicomedia (modern Izmet, Turkey).

Saint Kevoca of Kyle

St. Kevoca of Kyle was also known as Evox, Kennotha, Mochoemoc, Quivoca, or Quivox. He was a seventh-century saint honoured in Kyle, Scotland. No other reliable information about him is known.

St. Nymphora of Nicaea was also known as Nymphodora. He was a martyr and died at Nicaea, Bithynia (modern Iznik, Turkey) at an unknown date.

St. Marcus of Nicaea was also known as Mark. He was a martyr and died at Nicaea, Bithynia (modern Iznik, Turkey) at an unknown date.

Saint Salomon of Cordoba

St. Salomon of Cordoba was also known as Solomon. He died as a martyr in 857 AD in Cordoba, Spain.

Saint Theodora of Nicaea
