St Otger of Utrecht was born in the late 7th century in England and died in 746 AD in the Netherlands. We celebrate his feast day on May 8 every year in the Catholic Church.

Saint Otger of Utrecht worked with Saint Wiro of Utrecht and founded a monastery at Odilienburg, Netherlands. Otger died in 746 of natural causes. His remain were moved several times;
- relics in Odilienberg, France.
- relics taken to Roermond, Netherlands in 1361.
- relics disappeared during the time of the Protestant Reformation.
- relics re-discovered in 1594.
- Relics re-enshrined in 1881.
