Saint’s Biography

Saint Otger of Utrecht worked with Saint Wiro of Utrecht and founded a monastery at Odilienburg, Netherlands. Otger died in 746 of natural causes. His remain were moved several times;

  1. relics in Odilienberg, France.
  2. relics taken to Roermond, Netherlands in 1361.
  3. relics disappeared during the time of the Protestant Reformation.
  4. relics re-discovered in 1594.
  5. Relics re-enshrined in 1881.
