St Paternus of Vannes, also known as Paternus the Elder, Paterno, Patern, or Pern, was the bishop of Vannes in Brittany, France. He was born in the 5th century AD in France and died in 475 AD. We celebrate his feast day on May 21 every year in the Catholic Church.
