St Rupert of Bingen was the son of St Bertha of Bingen and a young hermit born on 712 AD in Mainz, Rhineland Palatinate, Germany and died in 732 AD in Bingen (Rupertsberg), Germany. We celebrate his feast day on May 15 every year in the Catholic Church.
Saint Rupert of Bingen was the son of St Bertha of Bingen. He became a hermit in the ninth century in Germany. Rupert died while returning from a pilgrimage to Rome, Italy.
