Saint Simeon the Logothete Biography
Saint Simeon the Logothete was a Logothete (secretary of state) to Emperor Constantine VII Porphyrogenitus.
Composed history, supplications, letters, and accumulations of intelligence of St Basil and Macarius of Egypt, however, is most renowned for his gathering of legends and accounts of the Byzantine holy people like Blessed Jacopo de Voragine’s The Golden Legend.
