St. Theodulus the Lector

Saint’s Biography

Saint Theodulus was the Lector and in the Thessaloniki Church. He was killed in the persecution of Emperor Diocletian (284-305) for refusing to surrender holy books.

Death

He was brought to justice by the region’s governor Faustinus and sentenced to death. Teodulo was drowned in Thessaloniki in 303 by being thrown into the sea with heavy stones tied around his necks. His memorial day is April 4. Note that he did together with Saint Agathopus.
