St Tranquilino Ubiarco Robles was a Catholic Priest born on July 8 1899 in Zapotlán el Grande, diocese of Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco, Mexico. He was hanged from a tree and died as a martyr on October 5 1928 in Tepatitlán, Jalisco, Mexico during the Cristeros rebellion in Mexico. He is one of the martyrs of the Cristero War. We celebrate his feast day on May 21 every year in the Catholic Church.

St. Tranquilino Ubiarco Robles was a priest in the archdiocese of Guadalajara, Mexico. During the persecutions of the Mexican Revolution he continued his work in secret, celebrating Mass in private homes, and distributing Communion to covert Catholics.

He was hanged from a tree on the morning of October 5 1928 in front of the house where he had been celebrating Mass in Tepatitlán, Jalisco, Mexico for refusing to stop his pastoral work, having been caught celebrating a marriage Mass.
