Saint Baptus of Magnesia

St Baptus of Magnesia was also known as Bapto, Baptos, Dauktos or Dauto. He was an eyewitness to executions of Christians who was so moved by their courage that he examined the faith and converted.

He was then martyred with five companions during the persecutions of Emperor Septimius Severus and died in 203 AD in Magnesia, Asia Minor.

Blessed Louise Bessay de la Voûte

Blessed Louise Bessay de la Voûte was born on 22 August 1721 in Saint-Mars-des-Prés, Vendée France.

She was a lay woman of the diocese of Angers, France and was martyred in the persecutions of the French Revolution.

She died on February 10 1794 in Avrillé, Maine-et-Loire, France and was beatified on February 19 1984 by Pope John Paul II at Rome, Italy.

Saint Porfirio

St Porfirio was also known as Porfyrius, Porfirio or Porphyry. He died in 203 AD in Magnesia, Asia Minor.

He also was an imperial executioner who was so moved by the courage of the Christians he was murdering that he examined the faith and converted.

He later was martyred with five companions during the persecutions of Emperor Septimius Severus.

Blessed Eusebius of Murano

Blessed Eusebius of Murano was born to the Spanish nobility in 15th century Spain and died of natural causes in 1501 AD.

He became ambassador from the Spanish throne to the Republic of Venice (in modern Italy). Leaving the worldly life, he became a Camaldolese monk at the San Michele monastery on the islands of Murano, Italy.

Blessed Bruno of Minden

Blessed Bruno of Minden, also known as Bruno of Waldeck, died of natural causes on 10th February 1055 AD.

He was a bishop of Minden, Germany on May 5 1037, serving for 18 years and a founder of the monastery of St Mauritius on Werder island near Minden.

Saint Erluph of Werden

St Erluph of Werden, also known as Erlulph, was born in Scotland and died in 830 AD. He was a missionary to Germany and also a bishop of Werden, Germany. He was later martyred by pagans.

Saint Prothadius of Besançon

St Prothadius of Besançon, also known as Protagius of Besançon, was a bishop of Besançon, France. He died in 624 AD.

Saint Aponius of Bethlehem

St Aponius of Bethlehem was a first-century convert martyred in the persecutions of King Herod Antipas and died in the 1st century in Bethlehem.

Saint Troiano of Saintes

St Troiano of Saintes, also known as Trojan, died in 500 AD. He was a fifth-century bishop of Saintes, Aquitaine (in modern France).

Saint Andrew of Bethlehem

St Andrew of Bethlehem died in the 1st century Bethlehem. He was a First-century convert martyred in the persecutions of King Herod Antipas. He died in the 1st century Bethlehem.

Saint Cronan of Clashmore

St Cronan of Clashmore was a patronage of Clashmore, Ireland and martyred by pagan Danes. He died in 631 AD near Dublin, Ireland.

St Silvanus of Terracina was a fourth-century bishop of Terracina, Italy.

Blessed Paganus was an Italian born and died in 1423 AD. He was a Benedictine monk in Sicily and also a hermit.

St Salvius of Albelda was an abbot at Albelda, Spain and died in 962 AD.

Saint Baldegundis

St Baldegundis was an Abbess of Saint-Croix in Poitiers, France and died in 580 AD.

Martyred Soldiers of Rome

Martyred Soldiers of Rome was a group of ten Christian soldiers who were martyred together for their faith. They died in 120 in Rome, Italy and were buried on the Via Lavicana outside Rome.
