St Isaias was a monk, abbot and bishop born in the 11th century AD in Kiev, Ukraine
and died in 1090 AD. We celebrate his feast day on May 15 every year in the Catholic Church.

Saint’s Biography
Saint Isaias was born in the 11th century in Kiev, Ukraine and was a monk in the Monastery of the Caves under Saint Anthony and Saint Theodosius.
In 1602 Isaias became an abbot in the abbey of St. Demetrius in Kiev. Later he was chosen as the bishop of Rostov in 1077. He died in 1090 of natural causes. His relics were kept in the Cathedral of Rostov, Russia in 1160.
