This was a radical teaching for the time, as Jews were not typically inclusive of Gentiles. The Jews regarded non-Jews as unclean and Godforsaken.
Currently, we should not discriminate against anybody in our journey of evangelization, regardless of their color, race, culture, geographical location, or spoken language.
Anger and Violence
The people of Nazareth become angry with Jesus’ teachings and attempt to throw him off a cliff. Jesus, however, is able to escape from their grasp.
At this day and age, there are many forces that are fighting against Christianity and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and anger and violence are usually the common weapons being used. So we should be aware of such eventualities as we continue proclaiming the Gospel.
