Blessed’s Biography

Blessed Bartolomeo Pucci-Franceschi was born into a wealthy family in Tuscan. He was a married man and a father of four. In 1290, Bartolomeo left his wealth and family to become a Franciscan friar at the convent of San Francisco in Montepulciano, Italy. Many of the locals considered him mad to give up the one social position for the other, but he was a model of religious devotion. He later became a priest.

Death

He died on 6 May 1330 in Montepulciano, Tuscany, Italy of natural causes. He was buried in the church of his monastery and his relics later enshrined in two urns in the Church.
