Blessed’s Biography
Blessed Edward Thwing was the second son of Thomas and Jane Thwing. He studied at the English College in Rheims, France, with the Jesuits at Pont-à-Mousson, France, and then in Rome, Italy. Edward Thwing was a teacher teaching rhetoric and logic in Rheims.
In 1588 ordained a priest in Laon, France, and returned to England in 1597 to serve covert Catholics during a period of government persecution. Arrested for the crime of being a priest and imprisoned with Blessed Robert Nutter. The two escaped but were re-arrested in May 1600 and executed together a few weeks later.
