Blessed Giusto Santgelp was a Mercedarian knight born in the 13th century in France and died at the Mercedarian convent of Saint Anthony the Abbot, Tarragona, Spain. We celebrate his feast day on May 10 every year in the Catholic Church.
Bl Giusto Santgelp was born to the nobility. Secular mercenary knight. He ransomed 200 Christian slaves from the Saracens in the Granada occupied by the Muslims, in Spain, in 1284.
