Bl. Guadalupe Biography
Blessed Guadalupe Ortiz de Landázuri Fernández de Heredia, most youthful of four youngsters destined to Manuel Ortiz de Landázuri, a vocation armed force official, and Eulogia Fernández-Heredia; one of her siblings is the Servant of God Eduardo Ortiz de Landázuri Fernández de Heredia, her sister-in-law is the Servant of God Laura Busca Otaegui de Ortiz de Landázuri. Due to her dad’s assignments, the family moved a great deal to areas in Spain and Morocco. She started learning chemistry at the Universidad Central de Madrid in June 1933, one of just five ladies in the class. She was recognized as a friendly yet genuine understudy.
Civil War
Lost a few relatives to the terminating squads of the Spanish Civil War. She started educating in Madrid in 1939. Following an inclination that she was called to an increasingly religious life, Guadalup joined Opus Dei in 1944, brought into the gathering by Saint Josemaría Escrivá. Built up a commitment to Eucharistic Adoration. She was relegated to Mexico by Father Josemaría on 5 March 1950 to help present Opus Dei there. While in Mexico, she came back to class to move in the direction of a doctorate in science. She and a doctor companion set up a versatile facility and went entryway to entryway in poor neighborhoods to treat the individuals who couldn’t bear the cost of medicinal assistance. Guadalupe moved to Rome, Italy in 1956 to work in the organization of Opus Dei.
Heart Condition
However a heart condition constrained her to come back to Madrid for medical procedure, and kept her near there for a mind-blowing remainder for continuous treatment. She had the option to proceed with her training and got her doctorate on 8 July 1965. She worked at the Ramiro de Maeztu Institute and Women’s School for Industrial Sciences where she filled in as an adminstrator for a long time. Guadaluped helped plan and set up the Center of Studies and Research of Domestic Sciences. This was while she kept on working for the spread and fortifying of Opus Dei. Her heart condition kept on disintegrating, be that as it may, and however she kept on functioning as long as she would, it be able to inevitably destroyed her.
