Bl. James Kisai Biography
Bl. James Kisai was raised as a Buddhist but converted to Christianity later. He was a married layman having one son. When his wife got back to Buddhism, they separated and gave their child to a Christian family.
He worked as a layman with the Osaka Jesuits caring for guests in their places of residence. A catechist who was later arrested with Paul Miki. One of the martyrs of Nagasaki.
