Bl. Josep Tous Soler Biography
Bl. Josep Tous Soler joined the Franciscan Capuchins at age 15 and prophesied his vows on 19 February 1828. He was ordained on 24 May 1834 in Barcelona, Spain and two months later there emerged the anti-clerical violence in Catalonia where he was exiled from Spain and spent the next nine years ministering in France.
He was able to return to Spain in 1843 but the government overruled religious orders and Father Josep spent his entire life as a parish priest. In 1850 AD, he led a group of young women who would be Capuchin sisters on 22 December 1858.
