Blessed Józef Czempiel, was a Parish priest in Chorzow-Batory, archdiocese of Katowice, Poland born on September 21 1883 in Jozefka, Piekary Slaskie, Poland and died as a martyr on May 19 1942 in the concentration camp at Dachau, Oberbayern, Germany. He is one of the 108 Martyrs of World War II. We celebrate his feast day on May 19 every year in the Catholic Church.
