Biography
Blessed Lambert of Cîteaux, an eleventh-century Cistercian monk in Morimond Abbey, Parnoy-en-Bassigny, France. Abbot of Clairfontaine Abbey in Belgium. Also, abbot of Morimond Abbey. Then, abbot of the Cîteaux Abbey in St.-Nicolas-lès-Cîteaux, France from 1155 to 1161. In 1161 he resigned from initiative to spend retirement as a devout monk at the Morimond Abbey.
