Blessed Salvatore Lilli Biography
Bl. Salvatore Lilli was the son of Vincenzo and Annunziata Lilli. He became a member of the Franciscans in 1870 Ad making his vows on August 6 1871.
He joined the Franciscan theological college in the Holy Lands. Appointed in Bethlehem on 6 April 1878. Preacher in Jerusalem for a long time.
Preacher to Marasco, Armenia in 1880. Notwithstanding lecturing the confidence he assembled schools, facilities, and homes for the deserted, and showed current cleanliness and sanitation in the remote towns.
Worked interminably with the debilitated during a cholera plague in 1891. Evangelist to Mujuk-Teresa, Armenia in 1894.
In 1895 the region was involved by Islamic Turks who caught Salvatore and a few individual Franciscans. They were tormented and requested to change over; they all cannot. One of the Martyrs of Armenia.
