Biography
Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, born to an affluent and politically persuasive family. His mom was the painter Adelaide Ametis; his dad was a skeptic, the author, and editorial manager of the liberal paper La Stampa. Later turned into the Italian ambassador to Germany. A devout youth, normal understudy, remarkable competitor, and hiker, he was very mainstream with his friends, known by the epithet “terror” because of his practical jokes.
Coached at home for quite a long time with his more youthful sister Luciana. He examined mineralogy in an engineering program in the wake of graduating secondary school. Worked frequently with Catholic gatherings like Apostleship of Prayer and the Company of the Most Blessed Sacrament that served poor people and advanced Eucharistic love. Marian commitment, and individual purity. Wound up engaged with political gatherings like the Young Catholic Workers Congress, the Popular Party, the Catholic Student Federation, Catholic Action and Milites Mariae that upheld poor people. Contradicted Fascism and worked for the Church’s social lessons. Selected as a Dominican tertiary on 28 May 1922, taking the name Girolamo (Jerome). Particularly committed to the lessons of St. Catherine of Siena and St. Thomas Aquinas. He spent his fortune on the penniless and visited the wiped out; during this service he gotten the malady that executed him.
