Saint Berlinda of Meerbeke Biography
Berlindis of Meerbeke was born of a noble background. She was the daughter of Odolard and the niece of Saint Amand of Maastricht. His father developed leprosy and when she could not drink from the same glass, he disowned her.
She became a Benedictine nun at Saint Mary’s convent, Moorsel, Belgium.
