St. Florido of Città di Castello Biography

St. Florido of Città di Castello was also known as Florencio. He was orphaned at an early age and managed to study theology. Later he has ordained a deacon in 542 AD. He was sent to exile to Perugia, Italy with St. Amanzio when his city was over-run by invading troops led by Totila. He ordained the bishop so much that he was ordained a priest.

Florido healed a madman through prayer in Pantalla, Italy in 544 AD. After 551 Ad, he returned to his city and began to rebuild it. He was appointed the bishop of Citta di Castello by Pope Pelagius II and served for over 30 years.
