St. Mesrop the Teacher Biography
St. Mesrop the Teacher was a soldier who retired from the military to become a hermit, preacher and a monk. He worked with Saint Isaac the great in the formation of the Armenian church. Later he was a missionary to Georgia and Armenia. He organized schools and the translation of the Bible into Armenian translating the New Testament by himself.
