Blessed Andrii Ischak is also known as Andrij, Andriy
• He was a Greek Catholic.
• He studied at universities in Lviv, Ukraine, and Innsbruck, Austria.
• Became a Doctor of Theology in 1914, receiving his degree from the University of Innsbruck.
• He was ordained in 1914.
• He was a teacher at the Lviv Theological Academy in 1928.
• Became pastor of the Archeparchy of Lviv for the Ukrainians at Sykhiv.
• He was martyred by retreating Soviet soldiers who passed through his village.
