The Catholic Readings for Christmas Time are read during the celebration of the nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ until the Baptism of the Lord. This time is also called Christmastide or Noel. This is the season that immediately follows the season of Advent and includes the Octave of Christmas and the Epiphany.
This Christmas season also has the traditional Twelve Days of Christmas which usually start on 24th December which is the eve Christmas until the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Epiphany is usually celebrated on January 6. If Epiphany falls on Sunday 6th then the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord is celebrated on the following Monday. Otherwise the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord Jesus Christ is celebrated on the Sunday after January 6th.
