42 At daybreak, Jesus left and went to a deserted place. The crowds went looking for him, and when they came to him, they tried to prevent him from leaving them.
43 But he said to them, “To the other towns also I must proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God, because for this purpose I have been sent.”
44 And he was preaching in the synagogues of Judea. – Luke 4:38-44

Today’s Bible Verse of the Day Reflections
Jesus was sent by God the Father to preach to us the Good News of the Kingdom of God. One of the Good News of the Kingdom of God that Jesus preached is serving the people who most need our services.
The services that Jesus offered were among others, healing the sick, driving out demons, raising up the dead, and preaching about love and repentance.
When the people tried to tether Jesus to themselves, He made it very clear that He was sent so that He can be of service to as many people as possible and not only a few.
Now, we were created by God, and on top of that, each one of us was given special talents so that we can serve His creation in that special way.
These talents that we were given are meant to serve all people regardless of their faith, creed, race, tribe, social status, or gender.
Just like Jesus, we are supposed to decline any invitation by the selfish few who would like to tether our services to them only as opposed to being of service to the whole creation of God.
Jesus did not discriminate against any region when He was preaching the Good News of the Kingdom of God.
Even in those areas where He knew He would be rejected, He still went. Those who accepted Him were blessed and those who rejected Him missed out on those blessings.
Let us, therefore, like Jesus, offer our services, with our God-given talents, to the whole of God’s creation without discrimination.
Let us also decline any attempts by a selfish few to curtail our scope of operation and by doing so we will be fulfilling God’s wish for us.
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, we thank You for Your love and service to us. Help us to continue being of service to others and give us the strength and goodwill to stay true to the purpose of our creation. Amen.
