This statement by Jesus reminds us that we should take utmost care of our clergy because they are His anointed ones.
The clergy include, Pope, Cardinals, Bishops, Priests, Deacons, Monks, Nuns and Brothers.
He has sent them to proclaim the Good News to us, just the same way The Heavenly Father sent Him on earth to save the world.
By receiving the clergy, Jesus means that we should provide moral, spiritual, psychological and material support to them so that they can ably proclaim and spread the Good News all over the earth.
On this note, our tithe, offerings, donations, gifts and grants are very much welcome to the clergy for the greater glory of God.
