The Novena to St. Monica is a special set of prayers said over nine days, asking for the help and intercession of St. Monica, who is the patron saint of alcoholics, difficult marriages, and mothers.

St. Monica is known for her perseverance in prayer and her unwavering faith, especially shown through her prayers for her son, St. Augustine, who led a wayward life before converting to Christianity.

People pray this novena to seek her support in dealing with family challenges, addiction issues, and to find strength and hope in tough times.
