Saint’s Biography
Saint Barbasymas was the bishop of Seleucia and Ctesiphon, Greece in 342. He was arrested and tortured with 16 priests in the persecutions of King Shapur II. Barbasymas was offered a cup filled with gold coins if he would worship the Persian god; he declined. Killed with sixteen priests in 346 in Persia.
